Chinese Government Scholarships

In order to promote the mutual understanding, cooperation and exchanges in various fields with other countries and organizations likeUNESCO, EU, ASEAN University Network, World Meteorological Organization, Pacific Islands Forum etc., the Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to study and conduct research in Chinese universities. Xi’an Jiaotong University is one of the designated universities to receive and educate international students under CSC.

1.Chinese University Program

Supporting Categories

This scholarship supports graduate students (Master and PhD).

Scholarship Coverage

It provides a full scholarship which covers tuition waiver, accommodation, stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance.

Stipend: Master 3,000RMB/Month;PhD 3,500 RMB/Month

Application Time

Middle of November to middle of March next year

Eligibility

a. Non-Chinese citizens with valid passports and be in good health;

b. Applicants for Master’s degree must have a Bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years of age;

Applicants for Doctoral degree must have a Master’s degree and be under 40 years of age;

2. Bilateral/Great Wall/EU/AUN etc Programs

Supporting Categories

It supports bachelors, master’s and doctoral studies, as well as general visiting and senior visiting scholars

Application Time

Generally from Jan to April. Please refer to the official website of dispatching authorities or secretariats of organizations for specific dates.
